Alcoholics Anonymous: The Story Of How Many Thousands Of Men and Women Have Recovered From Alcoholism
Author: Alcoholics Anonymous
Category: NonFiction
Rating:
Reviewer: John Purvis
Description: I read the book and found it profoundly boring. I guess this is what you get from an organisation that started off as a culty Christian evangelical club (The Oxford club). The book is preachy and I think the treatment of alcoholism has come a long since the days of God will save you. Really this book is like the Exodus program except for alcoholics.

Alcoholics Anonymous: The Story Of How Many Thousands Of Men and Women Have Recovered From Alcoholism
Author: Alcoholics Anonymous
Category: NonFiction
Rating:
Reviewer: Laurie Eccleston LCDC
Description: I was deeply offended by the one review I read. If millions of addicts and alcoholics have used the recovery concepts in this book to stay clean and sober who is he to judge. I am not saying that there are not other recovery methods that work. I am saying I find this book to be very inspirational and if the concepts are followed can lead to a very fullfilling life. This book teaches how to live life on lifes terms and not to be a selfish self-centered person.

New Lane
Author: Robert Harling Codey Jr.
Category: NonFiction
Rating:
Reviewer: Samantha Turnbull
Description: "The New Lane" is a true story about a guy's life. He experiences these synchronous and precognitive events similar to Redfield's "Celestine Prophecy". The book is an ode to his lost love and is emotionally powerful. It takes you through joy, laughter and sadness, ultimately ending on a note of hope for the future.
