Book Synopsis: Domina is thirty-seven, divorced, and vice-president, creative director of The Potter Jackson Company, a powerful, old-guard advertising agency she has been with for ten years. She is paid well enough to own a luxurious apartment and send her two teenage children to the best schools, but Domina wants something more. She wants what The Potter Jackson Company has awarded men in comparable positions -- a senior vice-presidency and membership on the board of directors. Yet her boss, Brady Godwin, a master at every trick of hard-nosed pressure and honeyed persuasion, manages to keep her just one notch below the men at the top.
Frustrated by Godwin's manipulations, Domina becomes dangerously vulnerable to the charms of Row Rossen, the handsome, dynamic Potter Jackson executive with whom she is working on a big advertising promotion. Despite the many complications of the assignment, they fall in love. Their love grows into a glorious relationship of two successful people who have loved before but failed at marriage. Only the jealousy and rivalries of others can cast a shadow on their plans and dreams. But strong-spirited and independent Domina has no intention of allowing anyone to come between her, the man she loves, and the success she has worked to achieve.
